Good grief!
[edit]This article reads like a list of Democrat talking points. It has a huge section entitled "Controversies" with details about everything she's ever done wrong, and not a single word about her accomplishments. NCdave 20:52, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Bias, anyone? This page sounds like it was co-writen by Gary Trauner and Tom Rankin. Lauraiuc 05:26, 9 February 2007 (UTC)A satisfied voter
The facts themselves do not contain bias, although granted - she seems to have few accomplishments to balance out the reasons she has been so notable - however, your comment does reveal your bias as a supporter. She seems to have quite a sense of humor, albeit this could be seen as lewd, bawdy and offensive given the times and places she has chosen to reveal it.
Accomplishments?
[edit]In my view, this article reflects (very well) how the people of Wyoming perceive Barbara's "service". Wikipedia is suppose to provide accurate details of a persons career- this article does that, and provides references for each detail. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.72.66.73 (talk) 19:19, 6 March 2007 (UTC).
Controversial Statements
[edit]She also once said "I'd rather eat road kill than go around the state door to door" in a Campaigns and Elections Magazine interview, and this section omits the well documented incident where she photographed male colleagues crotches and posted these on the wall in the legislature under the heading "which member is yours?" I haven't found the proper references online yet to edit the main page, however there is a Casper Star Tribune article detailing these events and the leaderships' attempt to deal with and discipline her for her "bizarre behavior" 41.204.43.12Sincerely
Removed this section because she is no longer in office, will never run for another office, is no longer relevant, and was extremely biased as written. It just isn't necessary and there is no need to be snotty to a retiree. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.167.90.193 (talk) 20:06, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Slap section
[edit]I find this section confusing. Did this stuff happen or was it all satire? If it's satire does it really belong here?--T. Anthony (talk) 10:25, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Agreed, this article is very biased, and so is several portions of the rest of her entries. It is very obviouse a Dem wrote it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.135.111.187 (talk) 15:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit]The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Barbara Cubin/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.
NCdave - If you fee that the article doesn't contain enough of Barbara's "accomplishments", please attempt to find "them" (accomplishments) and add them. I believe we want to present views from both sides of the isle, and we'd appreciate your contribution. Also, to respond to your comment regarding the "controversies" section; the 'events' mentioned have greatly shaped Barbara's reputation, and thus are notable and relevant. This article reads like a list of Democrat talking points. It has a huge section entitled "Controversies" with details about everything she's ever done wrong, but not a single word about her accomplishments. NCdave 20:50, 8 December 2006 (UTC) |
