Commercial focus and denominational bias

The fact that this article manages to avoid mention of the Broadman Hymnal makes me wonder if the article was written by and for Lifeway. "Baptist Hymnal" is not a title limited to the publications of that company and/or of the Southern Baptist Convention's Sunday School Board. The Hymnary.org database indexes 22 hymnals with "Baptist" and "Hymnal" in their titles. I think I'll add a clarifying note at the top of the article, with a link to this list to accommodate those who are interested in Baptist hymnals in a general sense rather than in the recent SBC ones that use that title. --Haruo (talk) 19:21, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate you're trying to make it neutral, but to me it read better to put the note in the "Other Baptist hymnals" section. For better or worse, this article is about a particular publication, not Baptist hymnals in general. If and when articles for other Baptist hymnals appear, this article should be renamed to something like "Baptist Hymnal (South Baptist Convention publication)" Adpete (talk) 08:51, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
