The original website at http://www.banxquote.com/about.asp and its mirror site at http://www.banx.com/about.asp now specifically states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL. Just in case, an e-mail is being sent separately by BanxCorp CEO Norbert Mehl to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org -- —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitepearl543 (talkcontribs) 16:41, 27 May 2008

That is great. I have restored the article, apart from the press release, which you did not release under GFDL, and is, in any case, too much detail for Wikipedia. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 16:27, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you.Whitepearl543 (talk) 16:37, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hrothulf), can you please restore the BanxQuote logo image as well?Whitepearl543 (talk) 16:50, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am just an editor like yourself, so I can't do anything you can't. If you were sent a notice when it was deleted, follow the instructions in that. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 08:10, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see a newly registered user has uploaded it to Commons. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 08:18, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming Minor Additions & Improvements

[edit]

Still working on some formatting ans stylistic issues. The BanxQuote article is being modeled after other articles of companies in similar industries or lines of business, e.g., Dow Jones, ChoicePoint, Acxiom, etc. --Whitepearl543 (talk) 15:39, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that a few more notable sources and worthy citations will be added within the next 48 hrs. Then we can take a fresh look at the overall layout, composition, content and tone, taking into consideration the Wikipedia editorial and objectivity guidelines. BanxQuote Logo Image

[edit]

We are considering whether or not to update the BanxQuote logo directly onto Wikipedia replacing the current link to Wikimedia OTRS under GFDL, based on a Fair Use Rationale which would seem to be more appropriate in this case. Whitepearl543 (talk) 12:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Many logos created in the last couple of generations are non-free content here; comparatively few are at Commons. I suspect creators like to have copyright protections available should trademark law fail for some reason. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 20:02, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
