Recent additions

[edit]

@Savipolo: Could you provide RS for the recent additions you made to the article (possible descent from the Tayy, 10th-century service in Tyre and Jubayl)? Thank you. Al Ameer (talk) 04:58, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

After recent edits, I had a look at this again. Since Savipolo has not responded and no source is forthcoming, I've manually restored the previous content in this paragraph ([1]). R Prazeres (talk) 18:30, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And to @Wikiknight7: All the source says is that they are "derived" from the Kutama. It doesn't say whether this particular family identified as Kutama during this period. Their origin is a minor detail in the article and other sources (such as two different editions of the Encyclopedia of Islam) don't mention an ethnicity at all. Pushing this ethnic identification in the first line of the article with no further qualification is WP:UNDUE. R Prazeres (talk) 18:34, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alright , so we cannot mention kutama in this page even , the source is false then? even if it's a "minor detail" ? Wikiknight7 (talk) 18:46, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean? Like I said below, it's literally the first sentence in the body of the article. So what's the problem? R Prazeres (talk) 18:55, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Banu Ammar Origins

[edit]

So Mr @R Prazeres as the source of William Harris of Lebanon history , page 49 says that : The banu ammar derived from the katama clan of Fatimid north Africa, which provided high officials for the Fatimids in cairo.

Why isn't there any dynasty origin untile now , Cauld you check it. Thank you Wikiknight7 (talk) 18:39, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please see my comment above. (I should have started a new discussion for you, sorry about that.) The question is already covered in the article itself at the beginning of the history section. There's nothing further to add. R Prazeres (talk) 18:43, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I've seen it , so we cannot mention kutama now ? I have more sources of Their belongs to kutama but still one of the main sources in the page mention that , even if it's a "minor detail" as you said we can't make a small mention? Wikiknight7 (talk) 18:55, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
All good thank you , i though you've removed it , i saw you alot in wiki pages too you are good at this work keep up (; Wikiknight7 (talk) 18:58, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
