architecture

[edit]

A google books description mentions it showing "a stylish mix of Second Empire and Italianate architecture.(Carroll Van West. "Tennessee's historic landscapes: a traveler's guide".) which is consistent with style shown in the picture. It is listed in the National Register's NRIS database as showing Modern Movement style, however. Are both correct? This might be resolved by obtaining the NRHP nomination document for the property. wp:NRHPhelp has instructions.

location

[edit]

The google book vs. the NRIS database give 100 S. Main Street vs. 100 N. Main Street as addresses.--doncram 21:14, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's technically S. Main Street. It changes over from S. Main Street to N. Main Street at Court St., which the building is south of. So, N. Main St. starts right across the street from the building. The confusion is probably from what do you call the street at the corner, since that's that point where it changes from south to north. --GamblinMonkey (talk) 16:26, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
