[edit]Note that [Bangka Island] is spelled BANGKA but that the spelling BANKA seems to be widespread outside of Indonesia. --PeterMarkSmith 03:48, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
Reason?
[edit]This makes little sense to me. What was the point of this massacre? How did it benefit the Japanese? Wouldn't they have been better off keeping them alive for bargaining purposes or for helping take care of their own wounded? Viriditas (talk) 22:57, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
Because the Japanese were brutal and sadistic murderers? That might sound an exaggeration but they had a proven track record of sadism and war crimes during WW2. I would suggest not to look at it from a modern day perspective Kentish 7 September 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.45.52.142 (talk)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Bangka Island massacre. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
