Reorganization

[edit]

Anittas, I do not think that your recent reorganization of the article is very good solution. For example, in my version of this page, in sections "History", "Geography", etc were only articles whose subjects are known under exact term "Banat", while in "See also" section were articles that only had term "Banat" in their names, but are not known generally as "Banat" (they are known as "Banat+something" or "something+Banat", which is not same as "Banat", so it should remain in see also section). Well, in your version, in the history section, you have Banat of Temeswar and Banat Republic. How are those two names any different from the names that are included in the See Also section where you have names such as Banat Krajina? Don't they belong in the same category? Banat of Temeswar is a historical Habsburg province and Banat Krajina was a section in the Habsburg military frontier. I think these names should be categorized according to what they belong to, and not according to the structure of the name. It makes things look more organized. We have a sport category, but we should include the ethnical minority along with geographical and history terms? You can keep it as you want, but I would prefer my version. --Thus Spake Anittas 17:18, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The point is that Banat of Temeswar and Banat Republic are in some sources known simply as "Banat" and Banat Krajina was never known simply as "Banat" in the sources. The problem is that introduction text say: "Banat may refer to", which imply that terms mentioned on this page are also known as "Banat" (besides their other names used in the articles), while terms added into "See also" section were not also known as "Banat" - they are added there because of similarity with term "Banat". In another words, if we organize article as you proposed, then we would have to change introduction sentence and instead sentence "Banat may refer to" we would have to writte something like "Articles which contain word Banat", which is not really in accordance with other disambiguation pages which usually have introduction sentence "... may refer to".
