[edit]Using references from the Middle Ages as to what someone looked like, descriptions from more than 1000 years after someone was alive, is not enough evidence to change that description of someone. Those are clearly stereotypes based on regional and racist archetypes during a time of great strife and crisis (the crusades).
Also, how was he the 'king of Macedonia' when cleopatra's family is from that area and is white as possible? Something doesn't add up. It's more possible he was just dark skinned compared to his people and was not actually african, but simply described that way in the same fashion Hispanic people today call someone negro/negrito to describe a person of dark complexion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:12C0:5340:1832:BB51:413:2F03 (talk) 01:15, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
Title
[edit]Shouldn't this be Balthazar (Magus), since that's the singular? (Similarly, Melchior (Magus)) Adam Cuerden (talk) 03:52, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
Nationality
[edit]This article says he was the King of Macedonia, but the article for Biblical Magi at one point says he was a Babylonian scholar, and at another point says he was a king of Arabia. This article ought to reflect all of those characterizations. - 2603:9000:E408:4800:956E:3AB7:A61B:2640 (talk) 14:51, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
