Question about Baazigar
[edit]Is someone knows about which book was inspired Baazigar and who is the autor of this book?
Smartsarang 06:09, 29 May 2007 (UTC) The translation of Baazigar is not correct.Baazi means a gamblers stake...baazigar means a gambler So I am changing that. Also the spelling in Urdu is different from the films posters.Baazigar is a single word and not two different ones.I mean its Baazigar, not Baazi Gar. I am changing that too.
Baazigar is a remake of the 1991 Hollywood movie, "A Kiss Before Dying", in which Matt Dillon plays the character that Shah Rukh Khan portrayed in Baazigar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.117.38.8 (talk) 06:15, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Title translation
[edit]in Hindi/Urdu, word ' Baazi' (बाज़ी ) means 'Gamble'(जुआ ). hence Baazigar must mean Gambler (जुआरी ). It is justified by one of the dialogues of the protagonist in the film where he says 'one who wins after losing is called Baazigar', implying that he wins a gamble after purposely losing a car race. please do not change the translation before discussing talk page. I Am here to answer any queries. Thank You. -- Adamstraw99 (talk) 01:39, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
