Is This an Article?
[edit]Does the BMW K75 or BMW K100 justify a separate article? I would say no -- and would recommend that the K75 and K100 (and whatever else may apply) be moved to the BMW motorcycles article in the K Series section. (Wiki writer 22:08, 17 June 2006 (UTC))
- Well I guess there are other specific bmw motorcycles where this has been done. Perhaps a peeve of mine, or maybe a misunderstanding, about Wikipedia -- that is, when a key component of an article gets separated into a separate article, vs. including it in a well organized (sectioned) main article. I have seen complaints of articles being too long -- but I have yet to understand how long an article has to get to be called too long.
- Perhaps a goal is to edit the main article to better reflect the link and transition (almost seamlessly) to the splinter article. (Wiki writer 16:06, 3 July 2006 (UTC))
10-19-06: I own a 1992 K75S with 54,000 miles on it. K75/K100 have been out of production for more than 10 years. The 3 cylinder engine of the K75 has not been carried forward into any other model in the BMW line. The K75/100 share the same basic frame and transmission etc, so I think it makes sense to keep them together. They should be added as a sub-catagory to BMW motorcycles.

I made some minor stylistic edits in keeping with house "encyclopedia" style.
I also removed some editorial comment that belonged on this page. I had meant to move it, but my clipboard lost it. Oops. Sorry, whoever you were that left it; and thanks for your work on the page. Mrrhum 16:30, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- The removed passage (not that it matters now...): "There was some erronious information on this page that has been edited (1-10-2007). I will attempt to enlist the help of those on the yahoo kbmw list to ensure its accuracy and completeness." - the editor's username or IP can be found, but I won't look.
