Isn't bbl = barrel more generally true?
[edit]That is, it's made to appear as if there are only two contexts where the word 'barrel' is abbreviated 'bbl.' I'm not able to think of other contexts where the word could not be abbreviated as 'bbl.'
If I'm mistaken, at the very least, this disambiguation page is missing the suggestion that it could refer to a barrel in the context of a firearm or other gun.
I wonder if it would be better to suggest it as a common abbreviation for barrel, and then under that category, list the possible sorts of barrels (container, engine carburetors, firearms and other guns, etc.) I'm not well versed on Wikipedia's policies with respect to this type of page, nor am I very comfortable editing myself, but I do hope this is a helpful suggestion. 140.146.206.8 (talk) 19:51, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
