Hi user:Windrifter2 @Windrifter2: As far as I am aware the Oak Tree episode is a 90 minute one off. Maybe you are confusing it with something else, because I have checked on the programme website it is says it is only one episode. Thank you for the improvements you have made to some of my edits. Dear sir, why are their two shows that are both called "Natural Born Hustlers"? (one in the UK and the other being the PBS release name for World's Sneakiest Animals) It's very confusing and I can't tell the difference. Can you try to differentiate them? Signed, an anonymous user (I'm anonymous because I like it that way) :)

Hello anonymous user! You are absolutely correct. They are duplicate entries, and I confirmed with my own local video files that it is the same content. I'm removing the entry for "Natural Born Hustlers" as the initial programme is called "World's Sneakiest Animals", and, given this is British content, I'm giving preference for the British programme names. --Windrifter2 (talk) 20:22, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

(July 2023) REQUEST FOR COMMUNITY INPUT:

I don't feel that Wikipedia is the place to record the individual home video/digital platform releases of these individual programmes. At least, not on this page. Especially given how frequently shows are put online for streaming and subsequently taken down, I don't feel it's the responsibility of this community to manage what type of release/availability something has. I propose we remove the two columns labeled DVD Release and Video Download. Given it's a very large, fundamental change to the structure of the page, I did not want to make such an edit without the community's input first. Thoughts? --Windrifter2 (talk) 20:50, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, it is not relevant information. It would be more relevant to include a column for co-producers because many shows are made in partnership with other production companies. Baguala (talk) 11:27, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have now starting editing the article to remove the video and digital release info. Baguala (talk) 13:52, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of non-NHU productions

[edit]

This filmography should only contain the titles produced by the BBC Studios Natural History Unit. Not all nature-themed documentaries broadcast by the BBC are made by its Natural History Unit. Some programmes are commissioned by the BBC from independent production companies, or are made by other departments within the BBC. Even some of David Attenborough's shows are not BBC NHU productions.

There are currently many entries under Television Productions which were not made by the BBC Natural History Unit and these should be removed. I have started the process of removing them but it will take time to check the production credits for each entry. Baguala (talk) 11:23, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
