BAMF as a form of vandalism

[edit]

People have been using BAMF as a form of vandalism, by placing it in articles where it may appear to be an obscure abbreviation, but is more likely referring to the slang phrase. Its usually associated with male names, sports figures, politicians, and often unreferenced persons in articles or lists. I would suggest that any article containing BAMF that does not clearly state its meaning, or point to one of these 2 marginally notable acronyms, can probably be removed as vandalism. Please do not add the band Bamf! to this list unless or until an article is written about them. I could not find any more significant uses of this 4la. I would suggest the phrase "bamfalism" for the use of this acronym to vandalise WP.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 08:10, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the listing for BAMF as an acronym for the phrase "bad ass mother fucker", as its no longer listed in the list of acronyms. it was never referenced anyway. "Bad Ass Mother Fucker" redirects to Pulp Fiction (film), which may also be a form of vandalism. Please do NOT add back in this use on this disambig page until the phrase is actually defined and given an article or article section. we are not urban dictionary.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 07:17, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
ive removed it again. if someone wants to include bad ass... here, write a bad ass mother fucking article on it.(mercurywoodrose)76.245.46.57 (talk) 04:39, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
found a compromise. bad ass mother fucker redirects to motherfucker now, and that article has an (unsourced) comment on this phrase, with wiktionary links as a start towards sourcing that article better. so we dont need to write a bad ass motherfucking article on bad ass mother fucker, and that makes me a...well, you get the drift.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 05:03, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
