references

[edit]

This page really needs references. real billionaires get their names in reliable sources all over the place. This guy?? Can't find one real source. Of course I only spent 5 minutes on the internet. Still...

According to the sources he's reclusive. I worked the two references into the text. You probably have to be creative and persistent if you want to write much more. Wikidemo (talk) 02:11, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A google news search for vivi nevo return many results from notable sources, but nothing very extensive. Mostly a one line "reclusive Israeli businessman", an mostly in "gossip" stories of who is dating whom. Jon513 (talk) 11:47, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There is a passing reference to him in a newsweek article ("...Aviv Nevo, a press-shy man who is also a big shareholder [in Time Warner]". Jon513 (talk) 11:56, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I put the Newsweek reference in. Even though it is just an "in passing" mention, it is the best reference we have. The others really aren't reliable in terms of reporting his financial position (or even nationality!), just his fashion sense or choice in girlfriends. Saying that he is reclusive as a reason for not being able to get some real facts is really just a reason to not have an article on him. I think if we go beyond the facts as stated it would become a WP:BLP issue. We're already pushing it. Smallbones (talk) 15:42, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A Media Powerhouse Everyone and Nobody Knows is a good article about him in the The New York Times. 61.82.124.147 (talk) 07:15, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Same article is referenced via the IHT in footnote 1. These were put in as well (same article).

It's obviously OR, but when somebody is trying so hard to be noticed as being somebody who is trying hard not to be noticed, something quite phoney is going on. I certainly wouldn't give this guy any of my money. Smallbones (talk) 12:04, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
