Moving to Mainspace?

Is there really anything left to put in before the move? I think we really just need the picture. ~Pakaroo (Pakaru) (talk) 17:06, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

I think the summaries need to be expaned more like the season 1 article. Rau J16 23:47, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

You are right, at a second look, everything from 26 on needs fixing ~Pakaroo (Pakaru) (talk) 03:57, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Awards

There was an award given to the director of Lake Laogai, but because its an individuals award im not sure if it belongs, or how to add it. Rau J16 10:29, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

More Details

Pretty much all the episodes need to have more details put in so they don't sound like a TV Guide, as well as reworded in some places. SkepticBanner (talk) 04:39, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

I'll work on that later today, i really want these to be good. That way we have a suitable replacement for the episode pages. Rau J16 11:39, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Book 3

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Avatar:_The_Last_Airbender/season_3 ~Pakaro o (Pakaru) (talk) 23:27, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Goals

This is just like the season 1 page. Here is what we need to do before the article is moved to mainspace:

  1. Expand episode summaries.
  2. Put in Production section.
  3. Reference Lead section.
  4. Possibly expand Awards section. (Not sure whether it can be done.)

When Placebo started this article, it was a good idea to just copy the season 1 article and change it because it is much better off now.Parent5446(Murder me for my actions) 23:52, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that its only had the emmy nomination, and that directors award, which i dont know how to add. Rau J16 00:02, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay then, I'll strike it out. Just wanted to make sure there was nothing else. Parent5446(Murder me for my actions) 00:40, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
I did some digging, and at IMDB(unfortunatly) it has a list of awards, i think thats sweet, but dont uncross it, im just gonna add them in now(i figured a way for the director too). Rau J16 01:02, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Production Section

Did that section get lost in translation, or was it not restored on purpose? Rau's talk 04:59, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Some more season stars

It says that the season stars Zach Tyler Eisen, Mae Whitman, Grey DeLisle, and Dante Basco. This is true, but there are three others I think it stars: Jessie Flower, Jack DeSena, and the late great Mako. They play main characters like the other actors but are left out. I feel they should be included for the sake of fairness. SkepticBanner (talk) 02:35, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree Sokka, Toph, And Iroh should be included. Sokka has always been a main character and Toph was an addition to the crew and began to teag Aang Earthbending. Iroh is always dispensing wisdom. I agree that Jessie Flower, Jack DeSena, and the late great Mako should be included. Gamloverks (talk) 12:35, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Long Feng

Who is voicing him in the English spoken series? I noticed he voiced also a Warcraft III character, I'd like to know his name. Thanks Mallerd (talk) 13:32, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

This improves the article... how? Just look at the credits of the episodes. Not that hard. Rau's Speak Page 18:02, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

It's a question...how can you not see? Obviously, it is hard to check who is voicing him, else I would not have turned to people like you. Never truly willing to help. Mallerd (talk) 20:42, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

listen to the red one Is that the voice of Clancy Brown? Mallerd (talk) 20:49, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

This doesn't improve the article at all. This isn't a forum. And we are willing to help, but not waste our time. This is completely unrelated to the article, you aren't even at the right article. Go to the V.A.'s article. Rau's Speak Page 20:58, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Who decides? That's right, users make what talkpages are. If I have a question, one can be helpful, or be a dick just like you. Mallerd (talk) 16:05, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Okay, WP:ATTACK. And its policy that states that talkpages are for the improvement of the article only. They are not a forum. Knowing that an actor in this show might have portrayed the actor in another does not improve the article. Rau's Speak Page 16:38, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Okay, no ATTACK. Policy is not something that is supreme. If you think it is, take a wikibreak my friend Mallerd (talk) 17:54, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Sometimes, human beings like to help eachother out. For some reason, you hate helping others and only wish to worship wikipedia policy, or am I terribly wrong and do you wish to help someone if he or she asks for help? Mallerd (talk) 17:54, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
I don't come here to answer fan questions. I go to Y! Answers for that. I suggest you do the same. If you insist upon keeping this section open, I will remove it. Rau's Speak Page 18:36, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
If you don't come here to help people, don't bother replying every time. What is Y! Answers? Is it a website? Furthermore, you will not remove anything, if so, I shall be forced to impose the allmighty wikipedia policy upon you which means you will be found guilty of vandalizing. Good night. Mallerd (talk) 18:54, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Revert

How could it possibly be helpful? It has nothing to do with the articles subject. And I've removed the warnings, they don't belong here. It is obvious you have no respect for how things are done here, so I won't bother citing more policies against you. Rau's Speak Page 20:13, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

My apologies, I see it is mentioned in the article per Thursday 17th of July 17:29 UTC + 2. Mallerd (talk) 15:29, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Article?

This is an article? I think you're going to need a bit more prose content to really establish this as an article. Right now, the majority of the page is just a list of episodes. The "Production" section doesn't really contain production information, just a list of who directed the episodes, wrote the episodes, appeared in the episodes. I mean, the director and writer info is straight on the table of episodes. Given how the other season articles have the same information, but are going through featured list nominations, I really think that the Airbender pages should be doing the same. The only season "article" currently out there is Smallville (season 1), and that's only an article because of the fact that if you remove the episode table everything is else pure prose on how they made each episode.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:22, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes all three Avatar seasons are lists, I didn't realize it when I reviewed it and obviously neither did the nominator. All three seasons have been changed to "List" class. Blackngold29 02:27, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Dubious

In Tales of Ba Sing Se, episode 15, does Iroh celebrate Lu Ten's birthday or deathday? NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 00:05, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

It was his birthday. *SIGN* 00:42, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I think this article might actually be ready for FLC soon. The one major worry I see here, though, is the region two table. Anyone interested in doing some research to find out when and if the Region Two DVDs were released? I did an intensive search, and I only found mention that the Volume One DVD had been released, but a release date was not given. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 04:22, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

I don't think that they are out yet... Especially if Amazon doesn't list them yet...(they always seem to be up-to-date.) *SIGN* 21:20, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
It seems that even though Amazon does list them, I can't find any other mention of them online... And Amazon isn't really reliable(just convenient) *SIGN* 19:23, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, the thing is, I had found mention in the article, even prior to my edits, of Volume 1 being out. So, anyway, remove the table? NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 21:41, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Seems the logical thing to do if we can't verify the information. It can always be re-added when information is available. *SIGN* 22:31, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

How can we say that they have been released if we cannot find a release date? Amazon lists things early... *SIGN* 00:52, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

But it has "sellers willing to sell" and everything :( NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 01:16, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Hmmmm... this is quite the conundrum. We need someone in the UK to help point us to some good UK DVD sites... This would at least provide multiple sources(assuming that site doesn't use Amazon as a source ;p) *SIGN* 03:19, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Where to?

Peer Review? Or jump right ahead to FLC? The list seems pretty good to me. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 03:01, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

I was thinking the same thing. A PR would be a good step, just in case we missed something.(I'm a big fan of the series, so things obvious to me might not be obvious to others.) *SIGN* 03:31, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I probably think the same way, as I too am a huge fan of the series. Could you open a peer review request when you see this? I'm heading off to sleep. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 04:10, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I tried to do it, but I'm ninety-nine percent certain that I messed it up... *SIGN* 04:31, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Nope, it looks good. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 19:28, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
It looks good now. It didn't.... *SIGN* 19:50, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Heehee :)
Anyway, do you want to go over the episode summary again with me? The last time I did it was in August. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 20:28, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I ran it through MS Word 2007, and it found a few errors, all of which were fixed.(there were like two.) *SIGN* 02:12, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
wp:AWB isn't getting anything new, so I suppose it is just a matter of stylistic changes. Let's just wait it out, I guess. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 02:32, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

When building an articlehistory, please read the instructions at Template:Articlehistory, and scroll to the bottom of the talk page when done to see if the red error category is lit. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 05:40, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Oh, sorry. I had gotten the message, made some improvements, and thought I fixed it. Sorry for messing it up :( - NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 15:16, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Table alignment

The alignment was far better previous which is why I reverted it. This new alignment gives all the width to the least width needing elements (the numbers). It is also breaking the combined table. Either fix it properly or I'll get it reverted because right now it is terrible. Derekloffin (talk) 07:02, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

When you revert the table alignment, it looks like this on my browser (IE8) on a 1024x768 screen: Table alignment
Maybe we're using different browsers/screen sizes? The same thing happens with the book 1 and book 3, where I'm trying to do the same thing: Table alignment, season 1, Table alignment, season 3
My edits look okay on my browser/screen, so I can't tell how it's looking funny on the older edit. More clarification on how to approach, if possible please? EikaKou (talk) 07:08, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Apparently so, Mine is at 1680X1050. Either way, that actually looks worse than what you're getting [1]. Right now numbers are taking up all the width on the page, and it is wrapping when it shouldn't (and it also is breaking the combined page as you shouldn't see any episode description there. Derekloffin (talk) 07:20, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Basically what you need to do, instead of forcing widths onto the large elements (which should be flexible) you need to shrink the widths assigned to the small elements (as even on your display they are taking up too much space). Derekloffin (talk) 07:25, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Would it work better if all the alignment numbers were set at percentages instead, with a value for each header? I think it's worked on some tables. Is the value being set at the number of pixels or something at the moment? EikaKou (talk) 07:31, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
I don't think so. The problem right now is the numbers which have a set width and never need to be dynamic are eating up the extra space because they aren't given widths, while elements that could use the space and should be using it aren't because they are given widths. The numbers should have a set width, and as low as is presentable. They shouldn't be varying. The rest should expand and contract as the display allows. Derekloffin (talk) 07:36, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Current version looks good with the percentages, so guess that worked after all. Derekloffin (talk) 07:45, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I tried the percentage thing on the small values and left the alignment values for the larger ones blank. It looks okay on my end, but it's still displaying the summary for the first episode on the compiliation page. I'm not sure how that's happening. EikaKou (talk) 07:47, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Look at the combined page again, think I fixed it. It isn't showing for me anymore. Derekloffin (talk) 07:49, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, looking at the combined page, I notice the flexible column are pretty far off from each other. Not sure there is a way to fix that at multiple resolutions though. May be better to leave it for now. Derekloffin (talk) 07:52, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, it sort of scrunches up on mine too. It's probably because of the anomalies of "The Avatar State" and "The Tales of Ba Sing Se", which both have way more writers than any other episode and it's causing the table to align differently. But it's not as bad as before, so I think it's best to quit at the moment. EikaKou (talk) 08:01, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
