Spanish translation

[edit]

This article was copied from the Spanish version of the page and pasted into an online translator, then made into an English version of the page. The translation makes little sense.

I also noticed that this article read like an automatic translation. I speak Spanish and was able to rewrite some of it using the original Spanish article, hopefully it is clearer now. NTP (talk) 18:57, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, aval exists in both France and Belgium. I suggest removing the reference to Spain.

The etymology given here contradicts the article Hawala, which claims that aval and Italian avallo (both the words and the credit system itself) derive from the Arabic hawala. - Montréalais (talk) 12:13, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I added the same claim here, with a source and a formulation copied from the Sharia article. In what sence does it contradict the rest of this article? Mange01 (talk) 06:04, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
