Name of the article
[edit]A lot of articles about spanish universities were located in a page with its non-translated name to english, but following the Wikipedia's Manual of Style everyone was moved to the page with its english name (when there were more than one translation, I tried to choose the more frequently used). This article should be called "Autonomous University of Barcelona", with a redirection from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. --surueña 12:51, 2005 Jun 8 (UTC)
- I disagree. The Wikipedia policy is to use the most used name in English, and the name most used in English is the original. This is also the name used on the English version of their website, which is a good translation, clearly done by a native English speaker.
- I work as a translator for the UAB, so I think I can consider myself something of an authority on the issue, and we are always instructed to use the Catalan name, and NEVER to use 'Autonomous University of Barcelona', and even in informal conversation we call it the UAB or the 'Autònoma'. The title should be changed to this entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.7.108.104 (talk) 15:56, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Rankings --> new section + multiple sources
[edit]I suggest moving most of the rankings out of the introductory section and into a new named section, and include also rankings from THES and Shanghai Jiao Tong.
