Needs deciphering, was in the intro to the History section

The Circle continued to give a single seat to the Imperial Diet to its owner, now the emperor himself as Duke of Burgundy.

(later) ok so the Circle would be the Burgundian Circle, but is Reichstag the right word? It appears to be correct that the Duke of Burgundy was the Holy Roman Emperor (?) I think (?) after the treaty, but this needs to be checked and we need a name and this whole sentence needs to be clearer. Elinruby (talk) 10:15, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

John Villiers, 3rd Earl of Clarendon

apparently was also a Prussian count (?) Anyway, there is a very large and old political family. I have not determined which was on the Imperial Council of State. The whole Branch I am looking at is British. One of them in a plausible timeframe was a Paymaster of the Marines, but definitely British. but this is also not the same thing as "Treasurer-General" of the Austrian Netherlands. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elinruby (talk • contribs) 23:52, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
