AIA
[edit]A wikipedia editor claims that the Australian Institute of Architects is confused with the American Institution of Architects. Presumably, the Afganistani Institute of Architects too. I don't think there is any evidence to make this claim. --Dlatimer (talk) 04:38, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- My mistake about your not starting a discussion here; you did not make a section header and I did not see your brief words hidden beneath the infoboxes. My apologies. Now, I should start by asking that you not misconsrtue what's been said, as though the article itself wasn't evidence enough that you're wrong in your claims. What it said was that AIA is not to be confused with the American Institute of Architects. You are right, though, that there's no evidence of an Afghani Institute of Architects, so it is of zero importance. Regardless, I've made a disambiguation hatnote as a better way to clear up any possible confusion. --G2bambino (talk) 14:43, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- I wont comment on the above, but the latest edit is fine. --Lawe (talk) 10:40, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
It's actually still the "Royal Australia Institute of Architects (RAIA)". Its trading name is "Australian Institute of Architects". That information is revealed in its annual reports where it has to use the real name of the organisation. You can't just vote a Royal warrant out of existence. http://sitefinity.architecture.com.au/docs/default-source/about-us/annual-report.pdf?sfvrsn=0 220.235.226.215 (talk) 03:42, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
Surely you mean the "Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA)"? It appears that it uses the formula of 'trading under' the name "Australian Insitute of Architects". Matthewn5 (talk) 14:04, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
AIA National Architecture Awards
[edit]I've added a category Category:Architecture awards to the article as it lists the AIA national awards. Could you please consider if starting a seperate entry for AIA National Architecture Awards would be a better option.Kgbo (talk) 01:42, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
