Australian Christian Churches
[edit]Please leave the name and title of the denomination as Assemblies of God in Australia for now until more information about the name change to Australian Christian Churches is found. The main reason for this is the confusion with the former Australian Christian Churches network of Pentecostal Churches, which shares the new name as the denomination. More information about what the former ACC Network means is needed before all AOG in Australia pages are updated to the former Network's name. Tatie2189 10:29, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'm moving information about the original Australian Christian Churches here until more information comes to light on the status of this organization:
- Houston initiated the launch of Australian Christian Churches, a network of Pentecostal and Charismatic churches in 2000. This umbrella organisation became the largest Pentecostal group in Australia, it included the Assemblies of God, the Apostolic Church, Bethesda and the Waverley Christian Fellowship.
Fair use rationale for Image:AOG Australia Logo.gif
[edit]Image:AOG Australia Logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merger proposal
[edit]The article Churches affiliated with Australian Christian Churches seems to only include information that belongs here. I thought at first that some churches/ congregations/ parishes would be only 'affiliated with' while others are actual ACC churches- but the opening line of that article says that Churches affiliated with Australian Christian Churches refers to churches that are a part of Australian Christian Churches which makes that article's purpose redundant. WotherspoonSmith (talk) 04:10, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- It's a ridiculously incomplete list if the ACC's website is anything to go by - I found 60 affiliated churches just in Perth. Orderinchaos 05:46, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Bob Cotton and "Maitland Christian Church"
[edit]There seems to be a "church" that has gone on a crusade against Hillsong, "Maitland Christian Church" from Bob Cotton who has been awarded "OAM". On his Twitter (https://twitter.com/pastorbobcotton) there is a Pinned Tweet that says "Tax payer funded over $2 MILLION to #Hillsong College" "Then they rake in $15 million during 2020 Covid" "Why are tax payers funding a multi level marketing pyramid scam?" If you look on the ACC web site, his "Maitland Christian Church" still appears there despite on the web site it says they are a "conservative bible believing protestant" fellowship. It's incredible that ACC haven't stripped his church of credential. Anyway this is a news article (https://9now.nine.com.au/60-minutes/crossing-the-line-1/a073c4bd-1380-4c89-af6b-efd5983abe20) that can be referenced, it's notable because Cotton has now been awarded OAM and so pertinent to ACC 132.234.228.129 (talk) 10:35, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
