[edit]

Hello, My page 'Auld reekie roller girls' was recently deleted after it was approved. I am not quite sure how it is different from London Rollergirls: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/London_Rollergirls or the Texas Rollergirls: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Texas_rollergirls

Thank you, Janetzillah (Janetzillah (talk) 22:07, 25 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]

A few pointers

[edit]

Hey, I've looked at the article. Here's a few pointers. Keep in mind that the article should be written from a completely neutral point of view, so it's best to avoid terms such as "modest origins" and "new and exciting sport". The lede of the article, in particular the lede sentence, should identify the article's subject. If I understand correctly, the article is about a female roller derby team, but the lede goes on to discuss the league as well. I have attempted to re-write the lede sentence to remedy this. decltype (talk) 22:22, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I appreciate any help actually and want to get it right. I am adding a few things in as I go but the pointers are great. Thanks again, Janet (Janetzillah (talk) 02:05, 27 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Results Table

[edit]

Hi Zillah,

Yay! An ARRG Wikipedia page! I've not seen it before, and I'm a real Wikipedia nerd.

Hope you don't mind but I've added a results table; I think it looks better than a paragraphed list, and matches other sports (see Newcastle United for example.)

Couple of ideas... Thought it might be a good idea to add an 'Overall Record' summary table at the top of the results (like Cage Fighters have - see Cain Velasquez). It gives people a summary of how successful the League has been. It's also the case that boxers etc have the most recent fight results first, as that's what people are most interested in (like on David Haye's page). The other option that stops the table being too long is collapsible sections like the NHL teams have - the Boston Bruins is a good example. Could even be colour-coded! :)

If you want me to do any of those things or help with anything else in general, just let me know!
