Name?
[edit]@SuperJew: Could you give me a reason for your change of the stadium's (and also the article's) name? Please take a look at FC Augsburg's home page, you can easily see WWK Arena:

I hope you can discuss the matter before this weekend. Centaur271188 (talk) 08:20, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Centaur271188: As I wrote with the move, Augsburg Arena is the non-sponsored name. WWK Arena is a sponsored name (the naming rights were acquired by WWK in 2015)and can change when WWK's contract is finished, just as the previous sponsored name was SGL Arena (who bought the rights in 2011). The policy on Wikipedia is to have stadiums under their non-sponsored names (when possible). Please that the name "WWK Arena" is still mentioned in the first sentence and in bold too. --SuperJew (talk) 08:43, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
- @SuperJew: Thanks for replying that soon. I assume that you are taking a WP:BREAK and will not be back until February 22nd. Hopefully you can show me the Wikipedia's policy which you mentioned earlier. We still have Allianz Arena, Emirates Stadium among many other sponsored names, and nobody seems to have trouble with it. - As far as I know, those stadiums do not have a non-sponsored name. Also, sometimes WP:COMMONNAME has to be taken into consideration when choosing the title (i.e. the stadium's sponsored name is much more recognizable). S.A. Julio (talk) 17:16, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

@S.A. Julio: Thanks for joining us. I think the problem is not whether the stadium has an unsponsored name (Allianz Arena had a such name, specifically during 2006 FIFA World Cup, since FIFA does not accept sponsored names; Emirates Stadium is still called Ashburton Grove or Arsenal Stadium by some fans). About WP:COMMONNAME, I think WWK Arena is much more common than Augsburg Arena.

WWK Arena is also used by many Wikipedia articles in other languages, so I prefer it. Centaur271188 (talk) 14:02, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
