The Colbert Report

[edit]

I'm not sure if it has enough notoriety to warrant a wikipedia entry, but Ms McDonald's appearance on The Colbert Report seemed interesting, and of a high quality, juxtaposing opera and '80s rock. The episode was perhaps more significant as part of a flood of ongoing protests against the 2013 US Government Shutdown, as the TV show either provided or simulated a marriage that was halted by the shutdown.

[edit]

The top of the page says McDonald currently stars in Private Practice, but later in the article it mentions she left. The later body text is correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.216.51.50 (talk) 22:57, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:AudraMcDonald.jpg

[edit]

Image:AudraMcDonald.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:08, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Early life and education

[edit]

McDonald was born in West Berlin, the daughter of American parents.

Born in West-Berlin? I am German and for me this description is very angry. West-Berlin was the deprecative name used by the East German communist government for the free western part of Berlin. The official name was quite simply as today Berlin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:6B:4D04:801:C169:9D29:AD0F:81F7 (talk) 01:51, 28 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You may direct your anger at the articles West Berlin or de:West-Berlin – both have a section on naming conventions. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 03:16, 28 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Concert section

[edit]

I am not an active registered editor, but the Concerts section seems long to me - leaning to the point where information is just reflecting the artists's website? 2603:8001:2A00:7428:898B:D9A3:5447:4308 (talk) 19:55, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
