That's nonsense in my eyes, sorry folks. Why nonense ("why sorry" is clear, Im a rude boy, lol): I'm a german. And found a very widely relative in the new world by change (he searched in genealogic databases in internet about the same family names like me. We never met, only heard from my very, really very old mother, that, maybe, there are still some relatives of us in the new world, so I could indentifiy him, search and bingo, i found him and he was open for conversation, god bless, I could him send al lot of informations about his european roots here. The correspndence was full of wite errors between us, simply because we don't speak the same native language (he english, I german) and we arent linguists both (lol) - thats normal. The fatal side is: Some of those write erros was "false friends": He asked me a topic, but wrote (f.e.) the false name of a village (or so) and I researched here in good old Europe - BUT - the horror was: This wrong written village exist in reality too - and - o sh*****t - only some kilometers from the right one! So the mistakes was going on. I was going in the absolutely wrong direction - only by (only a little!) wrong written names, dates, villages, professions, adjectives etc. Hey folks! Between contemporaries such mistakes already! (sic.) Why I'm writing this? Because: If there are such simple mistakes between contemoporaries already, all historians should include, that such mistakes in hundred of years (languages, names, traditions etc. change their xharacters in such longe times sometimes a lot, sometimes a little, sometimes not(sic.) !!) could be in a very higher power! Means: Never say "We know already."! Say: "We belive AT MOMENT, that we could(!) know(?) SOME(!), but ofcourse we're open all the time for new informations." lol The best way of a historian is: Humility. Means: "... has been" debaded? Has been?! The debate and the researches still absolutely at their beginning! The science of history is still a baby! Please don't close the book, before we've opened it! Thanks. (only my 2 cts. May the experience of an old grumbling man help a little for better research in future ... ) (In Germany I would be blocked for such sentences - naturally.) 109.42.241.91 (talk) 22:03, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
