I really doubt VSDs of this type is suitable for percutaneous closure, due to the proximity of the common valve to the defect. As far as I know, it's never been done. If anyone know otherwise, please cite a publication. --Ekko 07:35, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I checked the reference given -- from 1986! -- and it does not appear to support this claim. No surprise as this unquestionably had not been done by catheter in 1986 and I do not believe it's been done by catheter even now. I will strike the claim from the article text (the surgical mortality/morbidity numbers are wonky too likely because of the old source; I'll look for something newer). Update references and info

I've made some significant revisions and added some newer sources, but the majority on this page are still quite old. If someone else would like to check out some of the info with older sources and verify that info with newer materials, and add citations as appropriate, that would help this page a lot.
