Quoted information not seen in reference

[edit]

Greetings! @Livingstonshr. I didn't want to undo any changes before I clarified what the reference you just edited contained. The link, quoted from your edit that added a reference to M.K. Gandhi's book: https://archive.org/details/TheStoryOfMyExperimentsWithTruth-MahatmaGandhi/page/n69/mode/2up

This page, from what I could see, does not contain any references to what has been stated in the article. It primarily contains information about M.K. Gandhi's association with Christians. The next page contains information that mentions the author of Atma Siddhi, but M.K. Gandhi says that the author asked him to "be patient and understand the depth of Hinduism". The only Jaina reference I could find was Shrimad Rajchandra recommending Haribhadra's Shaddarshana Samuccaya. Again, I could not find a reference that mentioned that Gandhi was "very impressed" by Shrimad Rajchandra's answers. I would like to know if there's another page that mentions this information so that we can correct the reference. However, the quoted page does not refer to Shrimad Rajchandra at all. I wanted to discuss this with you before making any reverts or edits that might cause unnecessary unrest on the page. Best regards, ParvatPrakash (talk) 09:14, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Livingstonshr, I understand that you are trying to push a POV here, and that's alright as long as it's all-referenced. The reference you are trying to add is not correct and does not contain the stated information. Kindly discuss here before reverting changes. Let's try to maintain a high quality of content in this article instead of merely pushing a POV without sources. ParvatPrakash (talk) 10:20, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
