Recommendation
[edit]I currently bank with First Market and I have to say that I really love the people there! Every time that I enter the branch the people are extremely nice and accomadating. I have had the opportunity to deal with a couple people in the business banking side and they are awesome! I would recommend their services to anyone who has an interest in the greater Richmond area.
Fair use rationale for Image:Fmb.png
[edit]Image:Fmb.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Draft replacement article
[edit]Hello! On behalf of Atlantic Union Bank, and as part of my work at Beutler Ink, I have drafted an expanded and updated Wikipedia entry about the bank at the following link: User:Inkian Jason/Atlantic Union Bank. The current entry is problematic for several reasons, which I've outlined below, and I am seeking editor review to improve the article appropriately.
Here are some ways the current article is problematic:
- the article conflates Atlantic Union Bank, Atlantic Union Bankshares Corporation, and First Market Bank, which is not actually the founding name (as the prose suggests)
- Atlantic Union Bank is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, not Nasdaq
- the bank was not founded as Union Bancorp, Inc. on December 20, 1991, as the infobox suggests
- the bank was also not founded as First Market Bank on November 4, 1997, in Memphis, Tennessee, as the article's prose suggests
- the article only has five sources, including a press release and two government documents
I've worked to create a neutral and up to date overview of the bank's history and operations, based on secondary coverage, and Atlantic Union Bank has reviewed the proposed draft for accuracy. I've saved a draft in full here, but I realize this is a lot of content for any single editor to review at once, so I'm happy to work paragraph by paragraph, if preferred.
Are any editors willing to review the proposed draft and copy over the live entry appropriately? I have disclosed my conflict of interest above and on my Talk page, and I will avoid making changes to the article myself. I am happy to make myself available for questions or concerns.
@WikiOriginal-9: As someone who has previously reviewed a company submission of mine, might you be able to take a look? Thanks in advance for any help.

- To each of your problem points, I will address:
- 1) The article did conflate the AUB, AUBC, AND FMB names, which has now been remedied and makes much clearer.
- 2) AUB was formerly listed on the NASDAQ but has since transitioned to the NYSE
- 3) Correct, the bak was not founded on 12/20/1991. That is the formation date per the Virginia Business SCC for the holding company Atlantic Union Bankshares Corporation. As is correctly pointed out, the article focuses on the bank not the holding company and this has been corrected.
- 4) This is an ongoing issue area. Per the FDIC, the Atlantic Union Bank that exists today is First Market Bank, FSB which was formed in 1997. While the bank markets itself as the Union Bank & Trust founded in 1902 in Bowling Green, this is factually incorrect as that institution merged with FMB and ceased to exist in 2010. Therefore, the 1997 date is the correct founded date for Atlantic Union Bank.
- 5) The sources have since been broadened. However, FDIC, SEC, SCC, governmental filings should be held in higher regard than marketing materials which are not regulated in the same way. Nxc133 (talk) 12:22, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
