Talk:Atlanta figure skating club

[edit]

This article was created in response to the presence of a number of other figure skating clubs providing information about their club and their noteworthy features. It strikes me as odd that the user who is asking for speedy deletion of this article feels the Broadmoor Skating Club, Skating Club of Boston, and the Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society are somehow more noteworthy than the Atlanta Figure Skating Club for inclusion in Wikipedia. Perhaps personal interest is in play here, or the contestor is not aware that any time you get a chunk of ice in a place like Atlanta that's almost noteworthy in itself. I would not contest the speedy deletion of this article if there was a blanket embargo on Figure skating clubs, but as this is obviously NOT the case and the Atlanta figure skating club is far more notable than the ones that remain with Wikidpedia entries without contest.
