Removed from the end of the "Origins of the name" section: "Their name was attributable to the term given to the Georgia cattlemen who drove cattle in the Georgia/Florida area in early Georgaia history. The name "Georgia Cracker" was definitely derived from that(many historical references if one looks), and when the team was formed, they became The Atlanta Crackers. Has nothing to do with "Jimmy crack corn". As for the Black Crackers, several ideas come to mind. Likely whites owned the teams, black players probably didn't like the name, but had little voice and wanted to play ball, and political correctness was unheard of in that day."
