Title

[edit]

Interesting issue...I'm a little concerned about the title format. I think a more encyclopedic title, like Atlanta reliever airport proposal or more simply Atlanta airport proposal would be more appropriate. Thoughts? AKRadeckiSpeaketh 03:09, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think Atlanta reliever airport proposal's a lot better than the current title, esp since there is more than airport in the Atlanta area already, tho of course no major Int'l one. - BillCJ 03:34, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are no other scheduled commercial airports in the Atlanta metropolitan area; others are general aviation or, in the case of Dobbins, military. That being said, I have no idea what the 'right' title is, but the most accurate possibilities tend to get pretty long and wordy.
  • Atlanta airport capacity plans
  • Proposed airport expansion for Atlanta
  • Atlanta commercial airport capacity plans
  • Proposed commercial airport expansion for Atlanta
  • ????
I don't know... AUTiger » talk 05:24, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree there is only one airport in Atlanta with scheduled flights, but as titled, "second airport" is misleading. And I ABSOLUTELY agree the more-accurate titles are much too long and wordy. But that's the beuty of Wikipedia - plenty of time to brainstorm, plenty of brains, and no deadlines! Perhaps we should post a note at WP:AIR, WP:AVIATION, and the airport and airline projects, and maybe even MILHIST. We just might might find someone with a good, succinct title. - BillCJ 05:57, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
