Errors and omissions

[edit]

First, Dogger Bank is about 15 m below sea level. The tides are not that large in the North Sea, that one can play football on Dogger Bank. It's a typical sailor's yarn. Somebody should write an entry on that, BTW.

Second, Atland is also the Swedish title of Olof Rudbeck's book that came out in several volumes the first in 1679. The Latin parallel title is Atlantica, and the subtitle of both is Manheim, i.e. the home of mankind. The relevance of this is of course that if the Oera Linda book is a hoax it could have taken the idea of Atland (meaning "fatherland" quite literally) from Rudbeck. --Lindorm 01:28, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't Rudbeck's book titled Atlantica: Atland eller Manheim? --80.218.71.231 (talk) 10:36, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
