Doping violations and stripping medals
[edit]There have been numerous reports about the aftermath of the doping violations in this event from multiple runners. Some of the trials have concluded, while some are in progress. The key distinction for medals and finishers, though, comes from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Alptekin's positive test was in May 2013 and her ban announced in August 2015; however, the IOC has made no specific announcement and the distribution of medals hasn't changed.
So what's the WP policy (and ideally with some precedent) on listing Alptekin, Kareiva, and Kostetskaya as DSQ in the finals? At the minimum, there's a problem with conflicting sources. Irregulargalaxies (talk) 19:25, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
