Notability is subjective I suppose. How to establish? The track record of these folks in previous groups (loveliescrushing,PAIK, and Mahogany, fer Chrissakes!)and that Astrobrite released music on Clairerecords, the releasing arm of Tonevendor, should be sufficient endorsement. Tonevendor, releasing records as clairerecords, is to shoegaze and dreampop as Matador or Touch and Go are to post-punk.

Oh, and if you check their MySpace page, Brian Eno is a fan. Is that enough for you, cheese?

This article should be kept as a distinct entry, although it needs some enhancements, especially since they just released a new album after a long hiatus, called One Hit Wonder. (And no, the irony is not lost on me.)
