Facts

[edit]

There are not many fact resources about A. awamori, A. acidus, etc. How do I get more information to put in? Bifficles (talk) 17:10, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Bifficles: start with all the links in the taxonbar, they should give you a start. Then look at the original paper describing the species, as that will have the physical description and maybe the etymology for the name, though for A. awamori it's pretty obvious. Also go to WorldCat and see what books and articles you can get from your library. Make use of Google Scholar as well. If you find any synonyms, common names, or subtaxa, be sure to use those as search terms as well. I notice the article doesn't mention Aspergillus awamori var. kawachi so look into that as well. For Aspergillus awamori you also have all the information on awamori to go through and detail what exactly the fungus is doing to make that beverage, how it was discovered, why this species is preferred over Aspergillus oryzae, etc. --Nessie (talk) 15:10, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
