Regional Accreditation

[edit]

It is important for people who may be interested in this for profit organization to know that the product they sell is not as well respected, or generally transferable, as regionally accredited products. Not mentioning this may lead readers to the false impression that after gaining their degree they will have something of equivalence to a properly accredited school. 69.166.35.218 (talk) 19:16, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This whole page reads like an ad. It needs serious work. I made some changes but we need sources and more polishing here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.242.221.33 (talk) 12:15, 31 August 2010

Agreed. Hopefully the person with the school editing the article will help improve it. Mateinsixtynine (talk) 22:30, 31 August 2010

I notice that you only created this account to edit this page. Who are you that you are an expert on this institution and what are your credentials to make the edits you are making concerning this industry?

Oh, and your 'Agreed' comment is to your earlier post. No need to make it seem like there is more than just you involved. If you would identify yourself that would make this conversation a lot easier. :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.44.99.98 (talk) 23:41, 31 August 2010

Aspen University Shut Down by COVID

[edit]

In 2021 during the COVID Pandemic, Aspen University in Arizona had nursing exam pass rates that were below the state standards at 69.4% but Aspen's students scores were higher than the bar exam pass rate in Arizona by graduates of top law schools in Arizona. [4] [5] Many states in the USA allowed for exam waivers for lawyers to be licensed without an exam and other professionals were licensed during the deadly COVID outbreak without a comprehensive exam. [6] [7] In 2022, students filed a class action suit, claiming the school had violated Arizona's Consumer Fraud Act even though Aspen's pass rates were 69.4% during COVID and the local Arizona government did not take deadly COVID into consideration when disrupting the studies and students at the nursing school.[8] The impact of shutting down nursing schools hits women and minorities the hardest. Okay, I'm going to have to ask the obvious question: What does the bar pass rate have to do with a college's nursing school that doesn't have a law school? This paragraph has the look of making a Frankenstein. LionMans Account (talk) 16:58, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
