Asopao is a rice soup from Puerto Rico.Soup,Gumbo or Stew? Asopao probably falls somewhere among those heartwarming foods that make weary travelers think of home or the hungry Puertoricans Remenber his or her mon .Chefs in Puerto Rico pride themselves on their asopao recipes,and many local restaurant will have it on the menu.asopao can be make with chicken,pork,beef,shrimp seafood,vegetables,or any combination of the above .a popular version is asopao con gandules

None of the references currently cited in the article mention the Dominican Republic; they all just mention Puerto Rico. What's our source for the move to/from the DR.
