Where does the name come from?

I'm guessing that the name is from the Asconoid type of sponge (animal), which is the most "lightweight" body type. Are there any documents which substantiate this guess? Thanks! Doctorhook (talk) 20:28, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
