Criticism
[edit]I have removed the "Criticism" section because it was a WP:COATRACK with little relevance to the company itself, with some of the sources not even mentioning DressBarn, and those that did not mentioning any criticism. Huon (talk) 20:31, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
ASCENA meaning ?
[edit]I believe ASCENA comes from "American Services C&A" in Dutch C and A = CenA. When Maurices was bought by the Brenninkmeijer family it became part of the C&A "InterCenA" holding, the American companies fell under Ascena. Ascena was related to Amcena: "The Brenninkmeyers entered the United States in 1961, when they acquired the Ohrbach's chain of clothing stores, which now has six stores in New York and six in Los Angeles. The family has since acquired five more chains: De Lodge's, Harvard Square, Maurice's, Miller's and Kreeger & Sons, which it controls through the Amcena Corporation, in New York." https://www.nytimes.com/1983/09/05/business/secretive-brenninkmeyers.html Ansgar John Brenninkmeijer — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ansgarjohn (talk • contribs) 15:09, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
