American dance?

[edit]

The article implies that there are certain dances only done as part of American dance, like "glide waltz". However I know that UK roller dancers do the glide waltz and I wouldn't think they do American dance. Are there dances that are genuinely only done in American dance, rather than in international dance?

Also I think the difference in American dance is to do with posture but don't know enough to edit the entry. Can anyone sort this out?
