This entry is incorrect, it should have read. A.E.Bamfield born 1902 in Stepney. He lived close to County Ground in Essex. He was my father and always spoke about the match where played as an amateur in 1921. He would have played more often for Essex but the bank he worked for did not allow him leave. He batted in both innings, not out in the second.
