[edit]

According to FreeBMD, the births of three people named Arthur Atkinson were registered between 1902 and 1911, i.e. birth dates coinciding with a circa 1926–42 playing career, in Pontefract district, i.e. the district in which Castleford births would be registered, they were; Arthur Atkinson (April→June 1906), Arthur William Atkinson (April→June 1907), and Arthur Clarence Atkinson (January→March 1909), are any of these Arthur Atkinson? Best Regards

Nickname

[edit]

Does anyone know to what Arthur Atkinson's nickname of 'Bruss' refers? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 07:41, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I can't even find a reliable source that says he was thus (Bruss?!) called. - Sitush (talk) 07:40, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Castleford Tigers stats

[edit]

This source would appear to be dubious. Web sources such as that often are, and quite frequently even mirror our own articles, but in this specific instance there are numerous contemporary news sources that demonstrate both the first season and the last during which Atkinson played for Castleford are incorrect. I'm going to change the infobox to reflect that. - Sitush (talk) 10:30, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
