Currency conversion?
In the intro section, values of the team are listed in Euros and US Dollars, but not British Pounds. I haven't been able to find any calculator online that allows currency conversions at past exchange rates. Can does anyone have any suggestions? --JDspeeder1 (talk) 05:42, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
- Just change it to pounds only (as Arsenal are an English club) or you could use one of those listed here @JDspeeder1:. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 10:21, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

Featured article review needed
This featured article was last reviewed ten years ago, and needs some work to be brought to FA standards. If it can't be cleaned up, it should be submitted for Featured article review.
- There is a considerable amount of MOS:SANDWICH and decorative images that aren't necessary and don't aid in understanding the topic, so could be deleted or re-arranged to a MOS-compliant layout.
- There is sporadic uncited text throughout: I haven't tagged any as I don't want to deface a featured article.
- There are breaches of MOS:CURRENT and a lack of context on dates throughout, sample:
- The club's current manager is Mikel Arteta. ... To avoid "current", the sentence can be rewritten to something like ... Mikel Arteta was appointed club manager in year X.
- The club's longest-serving manager, in terms of both length of tenure and number of games overseen, is Arsène Wenger, who managed the club between 1996 and 2018. ... This is cited to a 2009 source, which can't be correct, and there is no "as of" date.
- They put Arsenal's footballing revenue at £331.3m (€435.5m), ranking Arsenal seventh among world football clubs.[9] --> cited to 2016, but no "as of" date.
- Arsenal and Deloitte both list the match day revenue generated by the Emirates Stadium as £100.4m, more than any other football stadium in the world.[citation needed]
These are samples only; I hope the article can be brought to standard without a FAR. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:36, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

Captaincy
Wanted to start a discussion about how we should handle the current captaincy situation. When Aubameyang was stripped of the captaincy the club stated that Lacazette would wear the armband but explicitly did not name him the official captain. Consequently this article included "captain, unofficial" in the squad list, which seemed fine to me, but I see now that the "unofficial" portion has been removed. What do folks thing is the right way to handle this? It is important to include "unofficial?" I'm genuinely not sure where I stand on this - the club did make it clear that he's not the official captain...but he is still the captain.
Also, how should we handle the various vice-captains? I believed the article was correct until today, when Xhaka refused to wear the armband after Lacazette went off, with Arteta later clarifying that Tierney was "next in line." Does that make Tierney the vice-captain? Or is Holding the vice-captain, Tierney 3rd, Xhaka 4th? Should we just remove all vice-captain mentions until the order is made specifically clear? Lazer-kitty (talk) 20:55, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- To my best knowledge, the role of official captain was shared since early December (when Auba was stripped of the role), and since then, Lacazette was almost exclusively the one to be wearing the armband. But earlier this month, Arteta explicitly named Lacazette as the captain until the end of the season. This was probably the clearest and most official indication yet (Emery had announced Auba as captain in a similar fashion), so I made the change accordingly to the 2021–22 Arsenal and Premier League season pages; someone else probably caught on to this news as well and made the change here, although no source was included. I guess the best and most relevant contrast would be to Watford, where Sissoko has been captain since Deeney's departure, but there hasn't been any formal naming of him as the captain from what I've gathered.
- As for vice-captains, I'm not sure where one might find any sources to back up the order of VCs. I suppose that the pre-existing order would remain with everyone bumped up one rank, but I wasn't sure enough to change it, and eventually others made the change anyway. I don't even know if Arsenal do officially name multiple VCs in a certain order like Barcelona have done. Benjamin112 ☎ 00:31, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Benjamin112: Thanks so much for this, lots of good info. For one, I completely missed the fact that Arteta officially named Lacazette captain, so that settles that. Regarding the vice captains - typically Arsenal does not officially name the vice captains, but Emery did, and we've been able to carry that order forward because Arteta has maintained that order and been clear when he's added to it. When Auba was captain it was Lacazette as vice captain, then Xhaka, then Holding. If Tierney is now "next in line" behind Lacazette, then I think it's fair to conclude that he is vice captain but that the order has otherwise stayed the same - thus we have Laca, Tierney, Xhaka, Holding. I see someone has already edited the page to make Tierney vice captain, so I am going to go ahead and make Holding 4th captain. Feel free to revert if you disagree. Thanks! Incorrect stat
the article says: "They completed the 20th century with the highest average league position." The linked source says Arsenal have averaged in the top-flight in the 20th C an average place of 8.5. In the 20 C there was 98 seasons as the first and last seasons overlap the centuries before and after. But 11 were war years so 87. Everton spent 4 years in the 2nd Div, giving them 83 seasons in the top flight - the most in the 20th C. Everton's average is 8.15, which is higher than Arsenal's, in fact the highest. Wisdom-inc (talk) 16:01, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
- I think you should actually read the linked source, including the part that describes their methodology. It's average league position, not average top flight league position. It includes those four seasons Everton spent in the 2nd division. Lazer-kitty (talk) 15:53, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
EPL Hall of Fame
Can we move the section outlining players in the EPL Hall of Fame to List of Arsenal F.C. records and statistics? I just don't think its a fair reflection of Arsenal's history and not exactly necessary on this page. This page doesn't even have a list of top scorers or most appearances, I can't quite see how players in the Premier League Hall of Fame is anymore noteworthy than those lists. The Premier League has been around for 30 years of Arsenal's 135 year history. Is the EPL Hall of Fame a necessary section on its own? I'm not totally sure. Singular/plural
Any chance of Arsenal being consistently plural as is common in the UK? "Arsenal was...", "Arsenal plays in the Premier League" is pure Americanisation - and is inconsistent with "Arsenal were..." etc. elsewhere on the page. Not a huge point, maybe, but British clubs in the singular really winds me up. It's worse than saying "EPL" for Premier League... 142.182.44.136 (talk) 00:12, 16 January 2023 (UTC)

Under-23s and Academy
Is this section ment to be players that have ever been in a competitive first team matchday squad ? Or in a competitive first team matchday squad during a certain period. If the first it wasn't complete until recent changes I made. Does this section need to be on this page? Gordondrop008 (talk) 14:27, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Gordondrop008, now changed: Active Arsenal Academy players (not on loan) who have made appearances for the the Arsenal senior team. Each player requires a soccerbase citation... Idiosincrático (talk) 13:32, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

Can we use British English terminology when describing British football
Just read the entry about Arsenal FC. and want to ask if we could use British English sports terminology when referring to British football teams instead of U.S. sports terminology? E.g. "Arsenal have won..." (UK), and not "Arsenal has won ..." (USA). I'm not sure why but I think it's because in common parlance, its the team of players (ie players being plural) that's being referred to, and not the club or team (both singular).
