The "(Colombia)" part added to the title was meant to distinguish it from the airport for Arica, Chile which is listed under title Chacalluta International Airport. This is clearly referred to at the heads of this article and the article for the Chilean airport. The "Arica Airport" article was created as redirect to the Chilean airport's article, probably because it is more famous than the Colombian airport. In this way, the Chilean airport takes the "Arica Airport" title when it is not named so, and the Colombian airport is forced to add the "(Colombia)" part.
I think it is better to have the "Arica Airport" linked to the Colombian airport, and delete the "(Colombia)" addition, and also remove the redirection. Those seeking the Chilean airport are noted by the clear sentence at the head that it is listed under its official name. Imdashti (talk) 08:27, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
