Untitled
[edit]Name? I was under the impression this spider earned its common name from the way its legs appear when it is resting on its web - just like the "X-shaped" cross carried by St. Andrew in several paintings. Anyone else? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.182.4.84 (talk) 14:29, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think the name section is referring to the Latin name. --TeaDrinker (talk) 01:07, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

- Translated as "what if this spider bites a human" by Google Translate. There are no reports I can find of particular problems. See Argiope (spider) § Bite. Peter coxhead (talk) 07:35, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
