I will begin this review shortly. – Quadell (talk) 17:47, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking this on.--SabreBD (talk) 18:28, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is a very strong candidate. It is well organized, well written, and well sourced. I have a few suggestions below.

  • You mention "the Clyde-Forth line", but don't explain. What is this line?
The two major rivers that divide the Lowlands. Unfortunately Wikipedia does not have something obvious to link to, so I have linked both rivers.--SabreBD (talk) 18:51, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think there's an error in "with a characteristic outer wall within which a circle of stone piers".

I reworded further. Feel free to revert if you don't like it. – Quadell (talk) 13:07, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • The last sentence of the article says (among other things) that Hadrian's Wall "collapsed in the fifth century". But that isn't in the source, and I can't find that explicitly claimed in the Hadrian's Wall article.
It was authority that collapsed, not the wall. Hopefully that is clear now.--SabreBD (talk) 18:51, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah! That makes sense. Clear now. – Quadell (talk) 13:07, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'll put this nomination on hold, and if these issues are resolved in a reasonable amount of time, I'll be happy to promote the article. – Quadell (talk) 21:02, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article passes all our GA criteria with those proverbial flying colors. I'm delighted to promote it. – Quadell (talk) 13:07, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
