[edit]I think this category should be restricted to people whose slave-owning history was notable in itself. There is not a word about this issue in the article. Valetude (talk) 04:47, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Mexican War
[edit]Obviously this section needs a huge amount of expansion. Yell wasn't just lax. He actively protected known murderers and butchers among his men from higher officers who wanted them brought to at least a semblance of justice. — LlywelynII 10:04, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
