I would like to AGF, but this looks like a hoax page. The original text contained gibberish and the preparation instructions were impossible. I deleted the impossible instructions.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Riventree (talkcontribs) 10:42, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a hoax, but the instructions did get rather garbled when imported from the Cyclopedia. Arcanum duplicatum (K2SO4) wasn't refined from aqua fortis itself, but from the residue (caput mortuum) created by the production of aqua fortis (HNO3) from nitre (KNO3) and oil of vitriol (H2SO4). i.e.:
2 KNO3 + H2SO4 → 2 HNO3 + K2SO4

If this is not a hoax page, I think it should be merged into potassium sulfate... according to the text, it's just another name for the same substance. Add the remaining 2 sentences to potassium sulfate and move on.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Riventree (talkcontribs) 10:42, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is a good idea.—Ketil Trout (<><!) 03:19, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
