The paragraph on pollution caused by Delphi is badly out of date, and some data is irrelevant, i.e. lead and sulfuric acid, which was clearly attributable to battery division, which was spun off anyway. In all fairness, they don't look like a very env. conscious company, (only mine opinion), but to still blame them on pollution caused 10 years ago, by a company already owned by someone else, is not fair. Unless more recent data is available, i suggest this data is deleted. Esp. the lead and sulfuric acid part of it. Sorry I am new to this, it's my first post, and editing scares me a bit, all those tildes (reminds me of my 40 year old daughter, who couldn't even find tilde on qwerty keyboard). - I've changed that para to the past tense to make it more clear. Pinkbeast (talk) 01:03, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Do they still retain other connection other than GM buy automotive parts from them? "The Securities and Exchange Commission has subpoenaed GM's records of dealings with Delphi, a parts-making company that once was part of GM. What worries investors is not only the subpoena but also the possibility that GM's financial performance may turn out to have been worse than the company has reported." [1]
Second largest? Who is the first?

There is a lot of false information in this page that needs correcting, but I don't have the time to research what is correct. But I know that they are not closing the plant in Saginaw, Mi and that the world headquarters are also located in Saginaw, Mi.
- most, if not all of the information here does appear to be correct. the 'world headquarters' in Saginaw i believe you refer to is for the Saginaw Steering division only, not the company as a whole. The Saginaw plant will most likely be sold; it is not among the 8 plants Delphi intends to keep, but is still successful enough that other companies and investors are interested in it. The article is a little bland. I may attempt to type something up in the next month or so. TO answer the question above, GM and Delphi have compeletely separated and GM is a customer of Delphi. The SEC may have been looking over records from when Delphi was a series of smaller companies which were owned by General Motors. As well, even tho Delphi is a separate company now, upon leaving GM, is took upon it many of the deals that GM had made with its customers, employees and the UAW. Which is why, for instance, Delphi is looking for GM to pick up 1 billion of the pension program--among other costs.
- Agreed, it doesn't really say much. i may try to piece together some of the history of the company (pre-spinoff) if i get the chance. - Scottr76 04:41, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I corrected some recent entries that seemed to confuse a division (harrison thermal in this case) with the entire company. this seems to be a common issue with Delphi, perhaps a list of division headquarters is needed.Scottr76 04:06, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Just looking at the annual (10-K) report. Looks like they are headquartered in Gillingham, Kent, U.K.

5/13: Hi, all. There's a notification/flag from March 2013 at the top of the page regarding some edits that were made over 1 year ago by a "close connection" with the subject. We identified the user as a newbie to both the company and Wikipedia who made changes to the page not knowing any better. We've since updated our corporate social policy and are helping to monitor this page to keep the content truthful, accurate, verified and current. Hoping to soon get that flag removed from the page. Any thoughts from the community? Thanks! KristiAtDelphi (talk) 13:26, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
- So you'd like the flag removed because you, someone with a close connection with the subject, are going to continue to edit the page? The idea is that the flag gets removed when the page content _isn't_ written by Delphi. Pinkbeast (talk) 09:41, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, Pinkbeast. I have edited ONLY the financial information and geo-location information of existing Delphi facilities on this page. Every edit has been factual for 2014 (based on Delphi's most recent/current 10K filing)--none of my updates have been nor ever will be subjective in nature. I'm acting with good intentions as a resource to the Wiki community - to keep articles up to date and factual for all readers and community members. Thanks!
