Never heard "new york" or "texas" i was taught positions according to height. thus, position #1 is 8" tall, #2 is 12" and #3 is 20". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.172.25.73 (talk) 18:33, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article has California (normally called L.A.) and Texas wrong way around. Texas is also referred to as Chicago in some places, plus there are other regional names for the positions. See http://www.theblackandblue.com/2011/06/28/apple-boxes/ Paulzag (talk) 21:23, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merger Proposal

[edit]

Basso block appears to have little, if any, content that is not already duplicated in this article. Propose merging it into this article. Girashnii (talk) 12:32, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Non-American Types

[edit]

No mention of European Apple Boxes? They're metal edged. And those Basso Blocks... Pretty sure we call them Paganini's in the UK. I.e. A "Pag" Set. https://eyefish.tv/dictionary/pags-paganinis — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.135.121.6 (talk) 15:16, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it is very USA production centric (maybe Canada too?). Most of the apple box sets I've seen in Australia are heavier-duty nesting variety that don't match the US sizes. I really should update the article for international use. Paulzag (talk) 02:22, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
