[edit]Hello,
I am writing regarding the deleted article AnyLogic. I am a member of AnyLogic team, we decided to write an article about AnyLogic, because AnyLogic users community is actively used Wikipedia.
I've used text from official web-site www.anylogic.com just to start, then my colleagues, AnyLogic user community (about 5000 users wordwide) and I will modify it to make it more useful. I am an author of this text so I do not think it should be a problem.
I am a beginner as Wikipedia author, could you describe how to return the page? Or should I write the new one?
Best Regards, Sergey

[edit]How to prove notability of the software? Honestly, I can't see the difference between this article and the article about Rockwell Arena. --ViseMoD (talk) 07:35, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I don't find any mention of this product in mainstream or even technical media. The only references identified in a Google search were to the company's site, distributors, download sites, a few PR news releases, the miscellaneous blog entry. If this product has significant coverage (like a full-blown product review) in reliable sources (e.g., not a blog) that are independent of the subjec (so not a distributor or the company itself), then its notability can be demonstrated. Notability
[edit]Dear Bongomatic, you may find any review of the simulation tools to prove the notability. Are you familiar with computer simulation area? This tool is used in thousands of universities world wide. This page should not be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.50.46.29 (talk) 13:06, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I find good survey of the simulation tools, I hope it will prove the notability of the software. I've added it as the reference for the article: http://lionhrtpub.com/orms/surveys/Simulation/Simulation.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sergey Suslov (talk • contribs) 08:04, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I believe that Anylogic article must exist in Wikipedia. Anylogic is one of very popular simulation tools. And it’s unique because of support three simulation methods in one package.

Notability
[edit]Regarding the notability of AnyLogic, there are several facts that from my point of view address the notability issue:
- Type AnyLogic in Google - it gives 252,000 pages about for AnyLogic written in different languages
- Please see WP:ANA so you can avoid making arguments that are not persuasive. Bongomatic 10:25, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- There are a lot of papers about AnyLogic on its vendor site. Look at the authors they are from different countries, it proves the notability from my point of view
- Please read WP:N to understand the notion that sources need to be independent of the subject to demonstrate notability. Bongomatic 10:25, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- Look at the list of AnyLogic users, there are hundreds of universities worldwide.
- AnyLogic is the basic tool for simulation in IST European MODELPLEX project organized by Euporean Comission. Please find the article about it, this article prove that in MODELPLEX, people working on the transformation from UML/SPT to AnyLogic, because AnyLogic is offered as a standard tool.
- Please find the review of ORMS today, where AnyLogic is mentioned. There are a lot of other papers, just search for PDFs in google and get 19 000 results. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sergey Suslov (talk • contribs) 10:21, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Information Content
[edit]It seems that the issue of `notability' has been resolved, so let's move onto `readability' and `information content'. This page reads like it was written by the vendor's marketing department - lots of buzzwords and vacuous technical content. Can I see examples of system dynamics, discrete-event simulation, and agent-based models in the AnyLogic language and environment? What are the tool's external interfaces, in a little more detail than noting that models can be extended with Java code? Can I export/import to/from databases, in combination with a scripting language for programmatically building models? In what language am I modeling - a vendor-proprietary language, or something standardized? (e.g. flow diagrams, state diagrams, and activity diagrams all have standardized definitions in the UML/SysML languages.) I came to this page to learn this information in two minutes or less. I could install a trial license and figure all this out, but that would take two days instead of two minutes, and I'd rather not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.207.93.240 (talk) 17:02, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
